Social housing Stigma refers to the unfounded negative stereotypes and prejudices often associated with social housing and its residents. These misconceptions can lead to discrimination, social exclusion, and many other issues affecting the well-being and quality of life of those living in social housing. That’s why we’re proud to sign the pledge to be part of the #stopsocialhousingstigma movement.

By signing the pledge, as a Group we are taking a stand against these stereotypes and working towards creating a more inclusive and respectful society, reinforcing our commitment to addressing and eliminating the negative perceptions surrounding social housing.

The Stop Social Housing Stigma pledge is a powerful statement of intent, uniting organisations and individuals in a collective effort to challenge and change harmful attitudes towards social housing. By signing this pledge, Kinovo Group is committing to:

The Pledge and Our Commitment

  • Promote Positive Perceptions: Actively working to highlight the positive aspects of social housing and the contributions of its residents.
  • Educate and Raise Awareness: Sharing information and resources to dispel myths and misconceptions about social housing.
  • Support Residents: Ensuring that social housing residents are treated with respect and dignity and that their voices are heard in the broader community.

At Kinovo, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a community where they feel valued and respected, regardless of their housing situation. Signing the Stop Social Housing Stigma pledge is just the beginning. We are committed to continuing our efforts to promote inclusivity and challenge negative stereotypes. We look forward to attending our first webinar, on Friday 4th August to understand how we can take actionable steps to support the social housing residents we work with and fight stigma.

Together, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society where social housing is recognised for its vital role in providing safe and affordable homes for all. Together, we can Stop Social Housing Stigma!
